Dr. Palter grew up in Holbrook, Massachusetts. He did his undergraduate work at Boston University in 1987 and received his DMD from Tufts University in 1991. After two years working in Boston, he joined Gateway Dental in 1993.
He lives in Foxboro with his wife Deborah, son Nathaniel and daughter Kimberly, and enjoys watching all the Boston sports teams. An avid martial artist, he is training to earn his 4th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do; both of his children are Karate instructors.
Continuing education. A member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society, Dr. Palter is very active in two other study clubs where he regularly meets with general clinicians and specialists in the field.
Dr. Giroux received her DDS from McGill University after a BSc in Psychology, then completed a Multidisciplinary Residency Program at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. She served in remote regions of Northern Canada for six years as a clinician and a director, helping develop services for local populations.
She has also served the profession as a risk manager director and consultant, and has published several articles. A member of the ADA, MDS and local study clubs, Dr. Giroux lives in Plymouth and enjoys gardening, travel and hiking.
With Gateway Dental since 2001, Karen began with insurances and reception, became Dr. Anderson’s assistant in 2005, and has been office manager since 2017.
Registered Dental Hygienist, Cape Cod Community College 2005. Joined in 2006, with vast experience in pediatric dentistry and a way of making each child’s visit pleasant.
Joined in 2007 after New England Dental Assisting School in Taunton. Dr. Palter’s assistant, bringing an energetic personality to the team.
Began at Gateway as a receptionist in 1986, graduated with honors from Cape Cod Community College, and has been a hygienist since 1993.
Graduated from Bristol Community College, practicing hygiene since 2000 and with Gateway Dental since 2005.
Joined in 2017 with 23 years of experience. Forsyth graduate with a bachelor’s from MCPHS; especially good with phobic patients.
Joined in 2002 as part-time front desk, Financial Coordinator since 2018. She assists with all your insurance inquiries.
Joined in 2023 after graduating from Lincoln Tech in Rhode Island. Dr. Giroux’s assistant, with a spunky personality.
Twenty-three years in the dental field, first as receptionist and then office manager, before joining the team in 2025.

When you call the office, your call will be answered by one of our friendly staff members during office hours. Pat, Ryleigh, Sara or Kerri will be available to answer any questions you may have.
We work hard to make your dental experience as painless and comfortable as possible. Feel free to bring headphones or ear pods if you’d like to listen to your own music or a book.
We understand the importance of good communication between doctors and patients. We will thoroughly present treatment options, explain our procedures, and educate you in the maintenance of your oral health. Please ask any questions about oral care during your appointment.

If for any reason you cannot keep a scheduled appointment, please call at least 48 hours in advance. If you will be delayed, please call us as soon as possible.
We accept most traditional insurance plans; please contact your insurance company to verify your plan. We do not participate in HMOs, including MassHealth and Well Sense, but are happy to file your insurance claims for you.
We accept checks, cash or credit cards, and offer a flexible payment plan; see our Financial Coordinator for details. CareCredit financing is available for treatments your insurance doesn’t cover, with no-interest or low monthly payment options.
